Environment is a key piece in our development and our conditioning experience.
But why?
The ‘role’ of Environment
Your environment is a representation of you because it encapsules your view of the world and your role in it.
Role is the key here, because the actions you take are defined by what your environment requires or conditions you to think it requires.
I've noticed when people want to change a behavior, if they are in the decision making process, their environment will be key for them to change course with their decision or simply avoid the situation and forgetting all about it a few days later.
For example, making a decision that might change your daily life is not obviously the only step into making a change because beyond knowing the reasons why you want to make this change, the conditioning (aka habits and learned ways to take action) starts creeping in once the motivation is gone.
However, your environment makes you remember of the 'why' constantly and it makes you face the dynamics at play and the way to change your perspective when you're de-conditioning.
Environment in HUMAN DESIGN
In Human Design, your ideal Environment is seen in the Design side of the chart. It is determined by the Lunar Nodes and understanding your Environment can help you connect to not only where your body is designed to exist in but also what glasses do you have put on and how to take advantage of that prescription.
These are some concepts you can consider to begin your research on Environment:
1.- The Nodes: The one above is the North Node and below is the South Node
The South Node is the energy we have come with some experience in, meaning we are more familiarized with this energy, so we are moving away from this frequency and into the North Node which is the direction we are here to experience to expand our awareness.
They don't function as getting away from one and onto the other but rather like a decanter, where the energy moves from one side to the other.
One side sealed and the other open, feeding itself and then bringing it into what was already on the other end, going back and forth. Learning from each other and in doing so we come to integrate the polarity of the gates and the story they tell.
2.- The gates: which are always opposite to each other, some form a channel which give it a specific taste, and others are in different centers or channels, which is the case for the majority of gates.
3.- The Line: This is more about understanding the gate itself a little more, given that each line does make a difference for the gate.
3.-The Color: This is crucial because this one determines which physical environment and keynotes are used to describe your specific Environment.
It can be Caves, or Mountains, etc. (How many do you think there are ;) ?)
4.- The Center(s): It will make a big difference if each gate it's in a defined center or not, because what isn't defined in your chart means it is more at the mercy of the people or transits you interact with.
6.- States of Consciousness: Adding the Gene Keys is the cherry on top, because considering the Shadow and Gift of each gate helps you expand your language on what the gate is all about when you're learning how it operates.
Let me know about your chart, what Environment do you have?
